Sustainability

Repair before replacement. Reuse before recycling.

TechCycle's approach is straightforward: extend device life wherever possible, refurbish what can be refurbished, and responsibly recycle what cannot. No invented numbers. No unsupported claims.

Our approach

What TechCycle actually does

The sustainability case for TechCycle is built on the process, not on claims.

Extend device life

The most sustainable device is one already in existence. Repair and refurbishment keep devices in use longer, reducing the need for new production.

Repair first

Where a device can be fixed, TechCycle fixes it. Repair is always the preferred route before refurbishment, resale, or recycling is considered.

Refurbish and reuse

Devices that can be brought to a usable standard are refurbished and returned to circulation through TechCycle approved resale route.

Responsible recycling

Non-viable devices are not simply discarded. TechCycle routes them toward responsible recycling rather than unnecessary disposal.

Honesty

What we don't claim

TechCycle keeps its sustainability communication grounded. Here's what we deliberately avoid.

We do not invent environmental statistics

We do not claim certifications we have not verified

We do not name recycling partners without approval

We do not overstate the impact of individual actions

We focus on what we can demonstrate: the process
