The process

How TechCycle works

A clear, responsible process from the moment you hand over your device to the moment it finds its next use — or is responsibly recycled.

Step by step

The full journey

Every device that comes to TechCycle follows this path.

01

Submit your device

Tell us about your device online — type, brand, model, condition, and any known faults. No valuation or offer is made at this stage.

02

Assessment

Every device is assessed on arrival. We determine whether it can be repaired, refurbished, or whether it needs to be routed toward responsible recycling.

03

Repair or refurbish

Viable devices are repaired or refurbished to a usable standard. This is the preferred route — extending device life before any other consideration.

04

Return to use

Refurbished devices re-enter circulation through TechCycle's approved resale route via Amar. Repaired devices are returned to their owners.

05

Responsible recycling

Non-viable devices are not simply discarded. They are routed toward responsible recycling rather than unnecessary disposal.

What guides every decision

Repair first

If a device can be fixed, we fix it before considering any other route.

Refurbish if viable

Devices that can't be repaired for their owner may still be refurbished for resale.

Reuse over disposal

Every device that re-enters use is one less device going to waste.

Recycle responsibly

Non-viable devices are routed toward responsible recycling, not landfill.
